New Hampshire School of Ballet

Meet NH School of Ballet, of Hooksett, NH

For more than 50 years, The New Hampshire School of Ballet has led the state in the finest study of dance through our students’ love for all forms of dance. Directed by Jennifer Beauvais-Rienert, The New Hampshire School of Ballet gives each student every opportunity to attain their maximum level of potential.

We invited the team at NH School of Ballet to answer these 5 questions:

1) Please tell us about the company, describe its business activities, its mission statement, and any historical milestones since its founding.

For over 60 years, the NH School Of Ballet Dance Studio has been providing excellent training in many genres of dance. Founded in 1964 by Lena and Suzanne Taylor, the Studio started out in the basement of their house with 1 teacher to provide ballet and jazz training to area students. 26 years after it was founded Suzanne’s niece, Jennifer Rienert took over the studio and continue to expand and grow the family business. What started out in a basement is now proudly 61 years old in a beautiful building with five different dance rooms and a faculty of 13. The NHSB’s Mission statement has always been to provide excellent training in dance, while instilling a love and respect of performing arts. Today the Studio has expanded to provide training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Acro and Hip-Hop. While still a small business, NH School Of Ballet has a respected reputation in the NE Dance community and continues to instill the love of dance throughout several generations!

Historical milestone would be surviving the years of Covid. For a small business of this type, the restrictions definitely hurt the dance instruction business. We are so proud of how we continued to provide dance training for our students during that awful year with online classes, safety restrictions in socially distanced studios as well as holding dance classes in the parking lot! We never let our students down even through those tough times!

2) Please tell us how your business supports your community, and the State at large.

NH School Of Ballet supports its community by offering after school dance instruction to its area students. Providing a healthy outlet for children to learn and grow is extremely beneficial to the community. Not only learning the art of dance itself, but also teamwork and discipline are extremely important fundamentals for today's youth. Also providing many performances throughout the state, offers audiences a chance to enjoy the arts.

3) Please explain your vision for the future of the company.

NH School Of Ballet would love to continue to offer excellent training at affordable prices to all area families. We also recognize the importance of our educated staff and would love to continue to offer them excellent wages, and opportunities to share their gifts with students of all ages.

4) Why should you be selected as the Primary Bank ‘Prime Time Business?

I feel NH School Of Ballet would be an excellent recipient of this opportunity because we are truly a family oriented small business in New Hampshire. What has been carried on through generations continues to give back to the community in a healthy and inspiring way. Our small business has carried on for 61 years giving countless children and families, a healthy and enjoyable experience in our NH area .

5) How would winning this commercial campaign help support the future growth of your business?

Winning this commercial campaign would be, of course, beneficial to get the word out to our area families of what we have to offer the community. Through this commercial, we could show our studio spaces, our excellent staff, and what we have to offer to the dance art-inspired families in our area. Because we are a small business, commercial advertising was never financially an option for us, and we've had to rely on word of mouth and social media exposure. This would definitely be beneficial to help our business grow and show what our business has to offer to New Hampshire area families.
