Troy's Fresh Kitchen and Juice Bar was founded on the belief that you can have delicious food that is made with ingredients that promote optimal health. We know that healthy food plays a vital role in living a long and happy life. Our goal is to help you get the proper nutrition through delicious recipes that you will love.
We invited the team at Troy's Fresh Kitchen to answer these 5 questions:
1) Please tell us about the company, describe its business activities, its mission statement, and any historical milestones since its founding.
Troy's Fresh Kitchen was founded on the belief that our community shouldn't have to sacrifice the quality of their food for convenience or due to dietary restrictions. We pride ourselves on bringing "made-from-home" quality food and drinks to our community in a fast, convenient way while also providing a comfortable environment for people to dine in. We've been recognized through roughly 30 industry awards across multiple publications since our founding.
2) Please tell us how your business supports your community, and the State at large.
We always do what we can to support our community! We accept nearly every fundraising request from schools, non-profits, and other events in both Londonderry and Derry including the Best Buddies Walkathon for local special needs students. With this particular event, we've helped our friend, Amina, raise money and become her group's lead fundraiser for the past three years and counting by donating a percentage of our sales to her efforts on a day leading up to the event. We also do our best to support local farms like Sunnycrest Farm for our apples and other fall products and Dreamer's Ranch for our organic pasture-raised eggs. Our concept also provides an important service to the community in terms of providing food and drink options that are otherwise very difficult to find. On the one hand, our recipes are made from scratch using top-notch ingredients which provides the community with a much healthier option and quality that is tough to beat! On another hand, our menu is not only vegetarian and caters to the vegan community but is also completely free of gluten and dairy which is a game changer for many people in our community who are restricted by allergens and struggle to find anywhere that they feel safe ordering food. We've had so many customers tell us how long it's been since they've been able to eat things that we offer on our menu like muffins, donuts, and a variety of other recipes that many of us take for granted. It's truly rewarding to be able to offer quality food to the community and a safe place for our allergen restricted customers to eat!
3) Please explain your vision for the future of the company.
Troy's Fresh Kitchen will expand both in how we are able to serve our community and through entering other communities. We plan to continue innovating in the kitchen to provide new and exciting options to our customers while creating new ways to serve our community like delivery, catering, collaborations, and events. We plan to also open a commissary to centralize the preparation of all our house recipes that will distribute to our different locations to maximize efficiency and quality. This operation is likely to also open alternative business opportunities.
4) Why should you be selected as the Primary Bank ‘Prime Time Business?
Troy's Fresh Kitchen is an example of local business persisting through passion. I was 24 and had next to no restaurant experience when I opened the business. I was passionate about the product and serving the community and put in the hours and hard work to figure out how to run a business, manage a restaurant, and create a powerful team culture. We've endured several hard times and have a lot to show for it with many awards, an amazing team, a loyal following, and a second location. We are also a business who has worked closely with Primary Bank on our expansion projects and are vocal advocates for the exceptional service we've had with Primary.
5) How would winning this commercial campaign help support the future growth of your business?
This commercial would be all about visibility and helping us spread awareness about what we offer to our community. It's so disappointing when I hear that someone who has been looking for a healthy option or a restaurant that caters to their diet hasn't heard about us! I want our community to know that there is a local restaurant who cares about them and is passionate about not just providing a great experience but setting a new standard of quality. Our local fitness community should know that there's a place that contributes to their healthy lifestyle. Our local foodies should know that there's a place that prides themselves on both quality and taste and is always coming up with exciting new recipes to try. Our local gluten and dairy-free community that is limited in the foods they can eat and struggles to find a place where they feel safe going out to eat with friends and family should know that we have their backs, and they have an entire menu to choose from! We want to share what we do with everyone in our community who we can make a positive impact on their lives through what we offer and this commercial would be a great step forward with that goal!
